1. The man who is blessed must not walk in the council of the wicked or stand in the way of those who sin or sit with mockers.
2. He is very happy to follow the rules or laws of the Lord and he meditates day and night on them
3. He is like a tree which is planted by the streams of water, whose fruits are ripe in season, whose leaves do not wither (or fall down) and whatever he does will be successful
4. He is not like the wicked, who are like the chaffs that the wind blows away
5. Such wicked people will stand in the judgment, neither will sinners stand in the assembly of the righteous.
6. The Lord will watch over the way of the righteous (His children), but the way of sinners will end.
