Jesus Christ humbled himself in the form of man and died on the Cross of Calvary to redeem mankind from his sins. The purpose of Jesus Christ death on the cross was that He loved us so much, because we sinned and got separated from God Jesus Christ came as a mediator between God and man to rejoin the separation that was once lost.
We all know why Jesus Christ came to die on the cross of Calvary - now put it for a time to think relating with the comic on the left; do we really accept Him as our Saviour or do we just use Him for our benefits. How many times in life do we thank God for what He has done for us? Everyday in our lives we have, is not because our merits that grant us yet another life but it is only the abounding mercies of the Almighty God that sustains or grants us the air to breath and survive each hour of our lives.
It doesn't mean at all that we need to stop asking God for what we need to have - God wants His children to ask Him in prayer. But we should not be only looking onto God to get His blessings. Let us worship, praise and magnify the Almighty God for all what He has done for us.
