Fruit of the SPIRIT

Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, Temperance

The Love of Christ
Surpasses all knowledge,
It is felt by people
Of both young and old age

The Joy of the lord
Is our strength,
It is unconditional
And measures no length

The Peace from above
Passeth all understanding
It guardeth heart and mind
And is radiating, ever- founding

Longsuffering is another virtue
Which acts as love on trial,
It learns to forbear and forgive
And waits patiently all the while


Gentleness includes true humility
That puts others before us first,
It is a quality that makes us great
In our Heavenly Father’s sight

Goodness is holiness
Put into practice,
While Faith is a gift
And from the Holy Spirit, comes this

Meekness is not weakness
It is the hidden man of the heart,
This is greatly valued by God
Right from the start

Temperance is another trait
We should all show,
These are the fruits of the spirit
Against such there is no law
